Anyone for rugby?

Hope my 16 year old 6 foot 4 inch nephew appreciates cute! His passion is rugby, though and came across this cute wee guy I got in a swap ages ago. Very simply mounted on nesties with few embellishments. After I saw the photo, though, I went round the edges of the circle with a fine black pen to make "stitches" as I thought it looked a bit bare!

Easel Calendars

I made these today with my class of 6 year olds. They chose their stamped images and backing card and made a super job of colouring them in! I did help them with the sticky bits, but they loved peeling off the backings from the DST and sticky pads!

Quick and Simple

Got a frantic phone call from a friend who needed a 60th birthday card for tomorrow! Came up with this - I seem to be going through a pink, black and white phase lately! The flower has been stamped twice and paper pieced in.

Got to work OK this morning, the roads were oretty treacherous and when we arrived at school discovered that the gates hadn't been opened for a fortnight, so the whole car park and playground were covered in deep snow so we had to park in a nearby bowling club! Needless to say a snow plough came and cleared the car park later in the day, and some council workmen dug out a path round the school. Should be better tomorrow - as long as there's no more snow!!!!

Dirty Dancing

This is a commission from a colleague for her daughter. Used a photo of her instead of Jennifer's face! Sad tonight, going back to work tomorrow after nearly 2 weeks off. Heavy snow forecast overnight, so maybe school will be closed.......

Friday 1st January 2010

Happy New Year, everyone, hope it's a good one for you all!

Spent Hogmanay evening at a Gala Concert by the RSNO in Galasgow's Royal Concert hall. It was a wonderful night with lovely music, balloons coming down from the ceiling, party poppers etc.

Here's my first card of the New Year, wanted something springlike and flowery, after all those christmas cards!
